I am trying to gain promotion at work. Part of the process will be a situational judgement test. Having visited book shops and 'Google' there seems to be a total lack of suitable material. Has anyone got any ideas

The idea is that you can't study it in advance. They will give you a set of circumstances and ask you to analyse the situation they give you and tell them solutions, plans, options, etc. No one wil know in advance what it is.

The idea was to prepare by seeing how the process works and to study a few examples. Though I know the test can't be predicted.
OK here's one I had to do. You work for a a manufacturing firm that has just taken over another in the same town. You have 7 buildings housing 180 staff including managerial, manufacturing, marketing and distribution. No one building can house more than 60% of the staff but your distribution plant must close in the next 6 months as the lase runs out. How can you reduce your costs by 20%, while closing three buildings and making no-one reduntant. Explore all your options. 20 minutes. Explain any assumptions you have made.
