I work in publishing and would like to transfer my skills to the not-for-profit/public sector (funnily enough, these sectors seem to pay more and have better terms & conditions than the private sector...)

It appears that whilst publishing jobs within the not-for-profit/public sector do exist, opportunities don't seem to come up very often.

I was wondering if there was a list of not-for-profit/public sector organisations that I could work my way through and maybe send speculative letters to them?

A list of all websites ending with .org.uk or .gov.uk would be ideal!

Hi Karen

We get a freebie (well I think its free as I don't pay for it) magazine every few weeks with public sector jobs etc. The website it below, might be worth a look?

http://www.opportunities.co.uk/

I don't know about a list of companies like that though, might be a case of looking at the sort of companies that are not for profit etc and seeing what other ones are similar, on yell.com maybe?

I'll post again if I think of anything though!!

Happy job hunting!!
