This is a genuine enquiry as to what progress if any was made following the arrest

Sorry, Baz, I shouldn't have aimed this at you. But I do find it rather sickening the way there has been much speculation and judgment of the family on line.

They now have a suspect who was outside the apartment around the time Madeleine was taken. He's got considerable form for child molestation and burglaries and break ins. He re-registered his car the day after Madeleine went missing.

The German authorities claim to have "material evidence" that Madeleine is dead but are somewhat coy when it comes to furnishing anyone else with the details.

Now they have a very credible suspect, all those who accused the McCanns of killing their own daughter can go and hang their heads in shame.
