I go to bed

//I go to bed//
If I did that every time I craved alcohol I'd never be up....
Water...boring, I know. Or I take a walk...or read.
I don't have any cravings for anything.
Find a healthier addiction. When I give up drinking my coffee intake goes massively up.

I don't give up drinking because it's an issue, just simply because I have to drink lots of fluid because of my blood pressure...and alcohol doesn't count.

You'd also never be tired.
Or, more importantly, drunk.

Cant argue with that Doug ;-)
I try to think how I'd feel in the morning - and not just with regarding a hangover. I'd be really peed off with myself if I woke up and found I'd demolished that next bottle of wine. I'd be pleased if I'd managed to tell myself to just leave it for now.

Doesn't always work. The next best thing is do a bit of exercise. Lifting weights or yoga.

Well let us take your mind off of it :-)

I was in hospital the end of last year. I was on a fluid drip and was told I need to up my fluid intake to raise my blood pressure. The hospitality lady came round while I was drinking some Lucozade and asked if I was allowed to drink it and pointed to the board behind me that said 'nil by mouth' they hadn't fed or gave me fluids in 3 days!
read one of your favourite books or viz comics they always take my mind of everyday cravings

Didn't you ask for any food or drink during that time ummm?

Ive actually been watching 'Tales of the Unexpected' on You Tube for most of the night Johnny, cant wrap my head around reading at the mo, wish I could, Ive got loads of unread/half read books.
I just walked to the cafe...very very slowly. Luckily I wasn't feeling very hungry but I did feel thirsty. I couldn't just sit in bed anyway. The walk to the cafe exhausted me.

I was back in hospital today for a camera down my throat. How horrible. The doctors and nurses were fantastic though.
I love tales of the unexpected

the finger smith
and the one with the Chippendale
and the one with the leg of lamb

there is the one about a zippo lighter and little fingers too
ummmm
the camera down the throat thing well done
I went in for that after half an hour and five nurses and assistants trying to hold me down they had to stop and cancel
