With the events that is happening with these scum leaving the UK to fight in Syria / Iraq / are you becoming concerned when you go out shopping if you live in a large City? What should this & every party vote on? should they check on the age / person / the area they come from / purpose of their visit & take action accordingly?

My attitude is that if they want to go to fight in Syria/Iraq etc. fine. However they should not be allowed back into the UK.

I would find that a bit extreme if all I wanted to do was go to Waitrose tbh

I am concerned that anyone of any nationality can be coerced into believing that fighting is in anyone's best interests.

I am not concerned about shopping, or indeed going anywhere my daily life takes me.

The issue of trying to stop young men from going abroad to fight is difficult - none of them are going to admit the purpose of their visit, and holidaying in their country of origin for extended periods is common practice for UK Asians.

I would suggest that any British passport holder who is found to have engaged in hostilities should have their passport and citizenship - where appropriate - revoked.

But again, proving it will be extremely difficult, and already you can see the ECHR gettng into gear.

This is not new. The IRA brought their terrorism into the UK with devastating results. We are dealing with Religious Fundamentalist (nutters) who have no regard for civilians or people of other Faiths. I am ashamed to say that when I see a group of young Asians with haversacks I steer well clear - I know this sounds horrible and Racist buts that's just the way I feel, a gut reaction and its a shame. As I said on another thread -how long before abductions become a daily occurrence in the UK and people start getting beheaded in Tesco car parks?

Yes I'm very concerned about the escalation of events in Gaza, Ukraine, Iraq and the general unrest which threatens world peace (what there is of it) but it doesn't affect my daily life at present. I'm concerned it's all a bit too late to take preventitive steps now.
