What do qualifications do I need to be an art teacher? What courses do I need to take in college? Can I stil be an art teacher if I don't pass my GCSEs? What courses can I do if I don't pass? I did well in my art exam; I got an A, do you think they will just accept that on an art course?

just fail all your GCSEs and apply - they'll snap you up

I think you would need to have a degree in education or to convert any other degree by doing a PGCE before you would get a post in a state school. Private schools have different rules .

Agree with Luc - you would need a degree. Almost all art degree courses want you to have done a foundation course first, so check out your local college for art and design foundation courses. Entry onto these is usually by interview and they like to see examples of your work. Duff GCSE results MAY NOT be a problem if they think you have potential.  Good luck. Have just completed foundation course myself.  Best thing I've ever done.

All teachers of primary or secondary level in the UK must have GCSE grade C passes in maths and English, (or an equivalent such as an Access course) it doesn't matter what subject they teach. Have a look at www.teach.gov.uk for more information.
