Not unnoticed, it was discussed on here the other day (will find the thread in a minute).
Maybe it was downplayed a little as the soldier involved was, as far as I can gather involved in a Special Forces operation when he fell.

And no, sadly he won't be the last.
Sadly I don't think it will be the last British life to be wasted in Afghanistan but as somebody who has several nephews and nieces in the Armed Forces I hope it is.
i thought how sad it was for his family ....... especially at Christmas. Lets sincerely hope it will be the last and get our brave lads home asap.
