School Tv Programmes

Do schools still use tv programmes in class, or dvds perhaps, to enhance and supplement teaching?

I remember the school programmes - some were outstanding, others terrible.

I used to love the days at school when the 'big' telly was wheeled into the classroom and the teacher took ages to try and set it up. Then you got the sixty second countdown on screen, then 'Look and Learn' or suchlike. Ahhh, happy days.
