dont know if this is any good.

when i was 17 i used to work part time in a hotel in the restaurant. there was always good shifts...either the breakfast / lunch / dinner. plus the tips could be good too.

plus hotels are always busy this time of year.

i know it might not be what u were wanting but have u thought of trying around all the small shops like newsagents asking if they have part time hours, try mcdonalds and burger king etc, depends how badly u want a job really.

My one advice that my wife will offer is that if u arent bothered about what work it is then just go into every shop and restaturant in the whole town asking for a job, dont ring up or write, just go in and ask them, it takes a lot of confidence but making yourself appealing right in front of a manager is like a mini interview where he or she can judge u on appearance within 10 seconds of u asking of a job which is sometimes more influential in there desicion than some impersonal letter or a voice on a phone,

She last tried it 4 years ago and it only took her 2 and a half hours of asking at approx 20 high street shops before she had 4 application forms handed to her and 2 job offers there and then! End of the day tho it all depends how badly u want a job and will do anything, to  how many job offers etc u get!

Thanks Andy, thought it was just me
