I want to start looking for a new job - which do people think is best, registering with employment agencies or doing a mail out myself, sending my CV to prospective companies? I had thought about possibly doing both but what do people think?

I would start by trying myself, send out as many CVs and phone as many companies as possible.

If I didn't get anywhere in a set period, say a few months, I would then try and agency.
