Is an employee who has not been paid and is owed wages from a previous month entitled to walk out until they are paid? Can the employer sack them if they do?

You won't be doing yourself any favours if you just walk out. The law provides that you have the right to express a written grievance to your employer and he or she must respond. If the answer is not acceptable to you, you could then make a claim, either to an employment tribunal or to the court for breach of contract. See your local Citizens Advice Bureau before you think of leaving the job. Maybe thats what your employer wants, but try not to give them the option;.
