I have been offered a sap analyst position at an electronics retail store paying $40K. I have my masters in math, no experience in sap, I'll really be learning SAP on the job which is a big plus. I hope that with knowledge in sap coupled with my masters in math, I grow into a top analyst in the industry say 2 - 4 years. I want to know what is the career path like? Will learning sap from the electronic retail industry be a negative or positive? How marketable I'll I be after sap experience in retail? The 40k is not much, but I know I have no experience - went straight to get masters after my BS in math. Now, I'm also in the running for a revenue management analyst position with well-known vacations company. Should I choose vacations company (if offered the job, say 40k base pay) with its perks (best company to work for designation) and potential for career growth or the retail company (not much glamor) where i'll learn sap from the ground up. Ultimately, with say 5-10 years of experience, I want to be a top senior analyst in whatever field I'm in with excellent marketable skills. Please help me decide.... give examples, details, as much as you can.....greatly appreciate your thoughts.

I use SAP/SRM at work and the trainers who taught me how to use it are on excellent money. Good to have it on your CV, if nothing else.
Hi adigi, not sure what the job market is like where you are - this is a UK site so it may be different here.
