Im in my last year doing a degree in fashion marketing and want to apply for jobs as an admin assistant buyer. I have been trying to get some retail experience but is very hard atm with people losing their jobs.
Do you think I will still be able to get a job without retail experience?

My friend does this job, and she started out by applying to garment factories. Her first job entailed going out and finding swatches of different colours and fabrics, to present to prospective buyers. After working her way round, and learning the business from scratch, she was lucky enough to get to know the "right people". She has no formal qualifications, but just an interest in fashion and materials. She's now an assistant buyer with Debenhams.
