i work for a high street bank and last year i took maternity leave for a year. my branch is now back in touch for me to return to work soon, however my branch now says that cos ive had a year off (or will have when its time to go back) my job isnt avaliable any more their reasons are, that the establishment (allowance for staffing) has gone down and a full time job isnt a possibility any more. however in the time ive been off they have employed some one to help out at the branch doing my job and another cashier who is on a 1 year contract thats due to finish when im due back. this lady hasnt another job to go to and was employed solely for the year, she has expressed that she would like to stay on. i feel that im getting a really bad deal any suggestions would be a great help!
