usually, if you're not qualified, you can make a start by becoming an Occupational Therapy Assistant and working up from there....there are openings now and again if you keep an eye out - in your local NHS Trust......
Hi, i left in 2005, one big bit of advice is get all your info and do as many available courses towards your field i.e Sports Injury course etc before you get out you at least can show you have taken a keen interest in the subject whilst still in.
Go and talk to your MedCen as they may be able to point you in the right direction or give someone who can.
Contact your local Service Leavers Support Team (SLST) or your nearest one for more advice they can be really helpful.
Good luck mate.
