Mk4 or 5?
Mk5 is the one with large angular headlamps.

Front discs wear out fast.
Bottom wishbone bushes.
Tyre wear uneven (alignment or wishbone damage)
Front panel chip damage .. paintwork.
Seat fabric wear.
Water leaks .. wet floors under carpets.
Heater hot control fails (electronic heater valve)

Just a quick advisable tip honey before you loose ( Maybe a lot of money) take someone with you that knows the in & out & mechanical running of the car, failing to take advice may cost you a lot of money, with the car market the way it is barter for everything I mean everything, it's the buyers market nowadays, if they try & fob you off "WALK AWAY" there are a lot of cars out there but also do your homework.
