Went online to-night to get quotes for house insurance. Only one out of 65 gave us a quote all others said no due to flooding risk, one even said no due to age. Is there an age limit to insuring your home?
We are within the limits of water they are stating but never been flooded in the house as it is higher up water been in garden yes but that is all. We built a wall around our garden up river side to protect us which cost us quite a sum of money. Some of the insurers said due to your wall construction we cannot give you a quote. Why would this be as we thought it was flood prevention and would help. Lost as to what to do now.
