I've been hit by a 3rd party driver and they've already admitted liability. I've informed my insurance, but will deal with the claim myself and obtain 2 quotes and send these to her insurance company. Now my only worry is that I had 6 points put on my license in February and didn't inform my insurance company as I believed, INCORRECTLY, that I only need declare when the new policy is setup . What are the chances of the 3rd party insurance company checking my points and declaring the claim invalid?

I will be certainly be declaring in 2 weeks time when I renew the policy, or I guess I should ring them now and tell them and pay the extra?

Any advice please would be greatly appreciated.
