I will pop over to the arts section and explain that you can only access this thread and ask them to pop over here.

Lots of Smiles back to you.
Hello Woodelf smile

I think your art is beautiful and my favourite? well, I cannot choose between 2, and those 2 are The Stony Road and Lake in Autumn. Both I could look at for a very long time and will keep in my favourites to show my husband later.

Thank You for Sharing smile
I have posted this on Ethels thread in the Arts Section. I am now off this site for the rest of the day.

"Woodelf can only access his own thread as in Ethel's second link. It would be a good idea if you want to communicate with him to do so on his original thread."

"Meanwhile I have copied your posts over to this thread, Roaldo, Daniela and Tigerlilly."

Many more smiles now coming and one big sigh, because it is raining and cold and I would rather stay indoors in the warm that go out.
One more post has arrived in Arts:

When you get back home Lofty, Ta Muchly for the popping back and forwards from site to site and of course you too Ethel for what you have done I am very pleased Luxury and Chicho that you like what you've seen. It all beggars the question "have you any more?" yeah, well I've got loads of work half or nearly finished and a few that are, but time and space are stopping me finishing the ones I've started, but passing on all your Excellent feedback to the person who helped me build (is that the right word?) my site, thinks I should consider adding to it with more of my work...well, I'll go to the foot of our stairs (as nightmare might say), but it'll take a heck of a lot of time and....oh, I might get round to it one day, but as I spend more time thinking about the pics before I actually do them and then it's just waiting for that (snap of fingers) moment then I'll just get down to it, but each painting takes so long to do and as I have to work on the floor for the majority of the time before I can move the work to an easel for the final stage, I'm usually in "agony" for being in such unusual positions (stop laffin' Ethel) as I move round the painting...the video didn't show all that I do while working at a pic...hecky thump!...I don't know if you guys need to know all this?...anyway, to cut a long story short (too late mate shouts someone...smile) there may be additions to the site some time??...Very Nice answer that one Smudge, hope the family creativity carries well on and on.
these are really good! have you tried doing portraits? where you feel them with your hands and then draw them?
Question Author
Just had a thought Ethel...smile...I could of course go into the Arts section myself and ask the question "Hey? anyone want to see my website..." that might save anyone popping back and forth...or is that over doing it? When I first put up my site, I opened a file on my pc to store the comments from people, do you think I'd be able to copy over all your and everyone's comments to my pc file or would that be breach of AB copyright...oh, here comes the heavy tread of the AB Editor...smile!
Woodelf - it is not breach of copyright to do as you propose. This is part of the Site Rules:

4. You may print or download to disk the contents of an individual page of this Website for the purpose of private and personal non-commercial use only. You may also permit your computer to make an electronically stored, transient copy of the content in this Website for the purpose of viewing it while connected to the Internet only. However, you may only make one copy of any of the contents.

End.

I think you should start a thread in Arts or, if you are feeling very brave, Chatterbank. There are some very strange people there and it is fast moving, so your post would soon slip to page 2 and beyond. I am thinking how you can best use AnswerBank but haven't found an answer yet...frustrated frown...
I'll let you know if I get a flash of inspiration.
Hi again woodelf - glad you enjoyed my last answer, thank you.

Our dining room table is often covered in craft bits & bobs, 'specially at weekends! We really do enjoy sitting together creating things, etc., so it will indeed carry on.

I've just taken another look at your website & my favourites are:

'First Snow & Lonely Water'.

Until next time, take care.
Question Author
Many Thanks 999. No, I haven't tried portraits - can you imagine someone sitting there while this idiot starts groping all around their face...me neither! - and I think it would be difficult to convey their expressions too as well as physical features once my hands have left their face and gone back to the canvas board, as well as trying to find where I left off on the board. I have got a couple of portraits in mind from when I could see and have often thought about trying to do them, but I'm not sure how they would come out. You could say why don't I try sculpture? Well, I have done that, but it doesn't bring out what is inside me which is more a love of the countryside than portraiture, which I was never that keen on anyway. So if I did any portraits, it would be a more stylised rendition than anything else and perhaps too fiddly to bother with anyway. The nudes I do usually have long hair as to cover up any need to do facials and I can concentrate on the shape and curves of the pose.
Question Author
Aw!...c'mon Ethel, surely a frustrated smile or are you gonna give me loads of frowns now?...smile. Ta Muchly for the AB copyright info Ethel. Great to here that Smudge. I wonder if you use the sort of plasticine I use, it's very versatile as you have seen. Should I take a dare and go into chatterbank Ethel or stay where it's safe?...here or in Arts?...so, you think you're safe do you?...frowns Ethel with a smile.
woodelf come to chatterbank. but be warned everyone is very clicky and narrow minded.
Hi again woodelf - I think Ethel is right!

It would be best to stay in Arts, as the posts in Chatterbank move down the page very, very, quickly & soon disappear!

Smile ;o}
P.S. Ignore 999's negative post woodelf.

The majority are very friendly & helpful in Chatterbank. ;o}
Woodelf I can assure you that Chatterbank contributors are a very mixed bunch of people and, although you will always find small cliques and narrow minded people, as in all walks of life, I can assure you that most of us are kind and welcoming. However, Art is probably the best section for you to post. Let's see what Ethel comes up with.

Big Smile.
Woodelf has already put a thread up in Arts and Literature, smile.
woodelf you see smudge immediately tried to insult me by saying 'ignore 999'

when she could have said something like 'I dissagree with 999 etc. etc'

You see that is rude and she claims to be 'friendly and helpful'

Question Author
Aaaaargh!...stop it you guys...big smiles all round eh?...anyway, as Eash sez, I've already put a stream (that's what I've done is it?) on Arts, but I've also put one in Chatterbank...so we'll see what happens, eh?...I'll answer everything that comes my way, with a smile in my kneecap!
999 - you wrote:

"woodelf come to chatterbank. but be warned everyone is very clicky and narrow minded".

I didn't insult you at all in my response, I merely wanted woodelf to know that we are not all cliquey &/or narrow minded, as you so readily insinuated.

Just putting the record straight woodelf & bid you a good evening. Smile. ;o}
