I have been insured with Hibernian for 48 years and have not had a claim (except once when car stolen) I have fully comprehensive, when I asked for temporary cover I am being quoted over 200. The policy says only full eu licences are acceptable. Any suggestions?,

Are you trying to add them on to your policy? If they are to drive your car then this is the only was you can do it. You can not have to separate policies for the same car.
sorry that should read Two separate policies
As I read it that's the price that has been quoted by Hibernian to add the two Americans to the policy for three weeks.

Needs gouldc's expertise here I think. Potentially another insurance company may recognise an American licence I suppose but as erin is mid-term with a Hibernian policy that's probably not going to help much.
