How old is the car?

The insurance will always pay third party liabilities so don't worry.

It's unusual for a courtesy car to be over 3 years old.
how did u found out it had no MOT?...you should never have been given a courtesy car without one, ultimately its your responsibility if you are using the car.
To join both previous answers;

1. How do you know it has no MOT?
2. Does it actually need one? - only cars over 3 years old do.
3. Courtesy cars from main dealers are usually quite new, thus not needing an MOT. (see 2. above)
4. As the driver, it would be you that gets nicked if it does need one yet doesn't have one. If it does need one, but doesn't have one, then take it back and ask for one that is LEGAL!
just to clarify something,

believe it or not there are a lot of courtesy cars over 3 years old..even at main dealers..i work in a main dealer bodyshop we have 3 over 4 years old !!..
and yes, we let one out with no MOT but sorted it as asoon as we realised what had happened.
