anyone got any ideas on the best and cheapest company to go for to do the above?

You do have to have seperate policies for each car but they should let you use your no claims discount for both policies as normally you can only use it for one.

it looks like Admiral and Privilege give multi-car discounts so try them.
all this cheaper insurance....two cars on one policy, isnt quite that easy, not like two insured cars a like bulk buying....answers to this question given by other memebers are quite accurate .......
