We are going to America in October and fear we might not be able to get health insurance for my epileptic granddaughter. She is 3 years old and has only just, this week, been diagnosed after months of tests. She has been prescribed with Epilim and we're hoping this will calm her down. Has anyone else managed to get health cover for a an epilepsy sufferer? Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try the following link;

http://www.epilepsy.org.uk/services/insurance_travel.html  Alternatively you could try http://www.insureandgo.co.uk  Both should have links to insurers who will look on the situation more favourably.  Good luck!
