ive been out of my house for a couple of month now due to smoke damage due to a fire next door am i entitled to compensation as ive been stopping with friends and family

are their insurers repairing your damage? Did they know you were moving out?
Do you have house insurance? If so, I'd have thought your insurer would deal with it under your policy and would seek to recover money from your neighbour's insurer
As above, if you have house insurance, you should have contacted your insurance co, they would have arranged alternative accomodation if needed whilst your property was rectified, and any costs for that would have been recovered from your neighbours insurance co.

If youre just staying with friends and family, are they charging you rent? Have you contributed towards any other expenses whilst staying at these addresses? If you didnt follow the procedures from the start, any chance of "compensation" is minimal
