just got a new kitty and from past experience I think I need to get some insurance - previous vet bills have been extortionate, any ideas? who gives a good deal? any recommendations would be good

My cats are insured with PetPlan, I am pleased with them. They cover the boys for lifelong conditions, not only for a fixed period of time. Their claims process is easy and they pay up quickly.
^ if I may give you one piece of advice - get kitty microchipped, a.s.a.p.
I had James covered with Petplan. I loved him so much I couldn't even think what would happen if I had to have him put down due to not being able to afford treatment. In his old age the vets bills ran into the thousands as he became more frail and less well, Petplan paid up promptly every time. I am still grieving the fact that my house is no longer catty, no amount of insurance can keep the grim reaper from making his ultimate visit but it can postpone it.
