Kleeneze Mail Order Company

Hi all,

I friend of mine is a member of the Kleeneze catalogue company and he always tries to get me to join up.  He constantly boasts how much money himself and his fellow Kleenze members make each month. According to him he makes on average of 1000+ per month, and that is working part time a couple of hours per week.  He also boasts how the Director of the company has invited them around to his mansion to have champagne and a free helicopter ride!

Surely this is just a scheme to make other people want to join and to pretend that it's a success money making business.

I think that my friend has invested his own money in this company and he isn't really making as much as he alledges. He seems so deparate to get friends and family onboard.

If this way or making money is as successful as he says wouldn't more and more people join?

Has anyone else been in this business.  If so how does it work?

many thanks

If it sounds too good to be true - then it probably is.  Be careful.
We get the Kleeneze catalogues here, I am not sure if you are supposed to have a 'round' as such or are free to deliver them to whatever houses you like, but we have certainly got at least 2 individuals delivering to our road. I don't think any of my neighbours buy and I don't (personally I think a lot of the products look a bit tacky IMHO). I am not sure, but I think you have to pay for the catalogues, which you don't always get back from the customers and you would need to buy quite a lot of catalogues just to cover one road, so think it would be quite expensive on that front. Also you need to take into consideration the hours needed to firstly deliver the catalogues, then to go back and collect them, people forget to put them out for you so several trips maybe needed and then put the orders through, sort them when they arrive to you and then deliver the orders (again more than one trip maybe necessary).
I sold skincare and cosmetics (not Avon) but on a similar scheme and although there were people who made money out of it, I found myself not making enough to cover all the hassle etc and gave it up. Good luck if you decide to it.

The reason hes desperate to get friends and family on board is because he will get a cut of the profits they bring in! To make the sort of money he is alleging for a couple of hours a week, youd have to have recruited a large number of people who are bringing in profits that you get a cut of.  Take a look at their website.

If it was that good we'd all be doing it. We had a friend try to sell us a vaccuum cleaner for a similar type company. It was pathetic watching him being bullied by his new boss to get that sale. They try all the tactics under the sun to get others to do their dirty work and "get that sale!" And let me get that again, your friend invested 'his' money? Is he out of his tree or what? Also sounds as if he wants others to join him so he doesn't feel a fool for doing it on his own. Don't fall for it please! If this 'director' has so much money, what's he doing taking cash from people? I expect your pal will run out of family and friends to sell to, pack the job in and Mr Director will move onto someone else like yourself until he bleeds your contacts dry as well !

By the way we didn't buy the vacuum and our friend lost his money and gained a few vac's he couldn't get rid of until the company bought them back off him for 50% of what he paid for them!

A friend of mine did it and lost money. You have to buy stuff before you gain any profit and even though they say it is part time you actually have to use a hell of a lot of time to get anybody to buy anything. When the catalogues come through the door most people just tend to chuck them away without even looking. Unless you have way too much time (and spare cash) on your hands I would stear well clear.

It's a version of what used to be called 'pyramid selling' years ago. They recruit you with promise of the wealth of your dreams all (!) you have to do is to get twenty (the number varies) friends involved and the profit they make comes to you.

It doesn't work, no-one is that interested in what ever the item being sold is, to support this massive, and ever expanding sales force, and the whole thing falls apart.

As advised, if it looks too good to be true .... keep away from it!

Question Author

Hi all -  thanks very much for your answers.  I thought I should say that I was not thinking of going into this 'business', but was posting this question to see what others thought and if anyone had been a sales person for this company.

again guys, thanks for your replies.

As a distributor for Kleeneze Europe Ltd, I would like to offer my comments.

Kleeneze offer a genuine home based business opportunity for people over the age of 18 throughout the UK, Ireland and Netherlands (other European countried will be opening up soon).

You can get started for a minimum investment of 75, though most people buy an extra 100 - 200 catalogue to get their business off to a fast start.

You earn in 2 ways:

1) You keep 21% - 37% on all orders you generate.  Orders are generated by distributing catalogues in your local area and sharing with people you know.

2) The 2nd way of earning money is by sponsoring (introducing) other people to the business.  The larger and more productive organisation of distributors you help to create, the more money you earn.  This is like a company owner, team leader, or coach - their success (and income) is directly proportional to the results they get, through other people.

If you are prepared to commit to learning the skills and knowledge required, then it is quite possible to be earning 1000+ per month, or much more, even on a part-time basis.  I doubt the person mentioned above only works a couple of hours a week, but it is likely he only works 10 - 15 hours to earn that income, if he has been in the business a number of months or years, to build his organisation and income to that level.

What does Kleeneze offer?

FOR THE CUSTOMER - convenience shopping, free delivery, personal service.

FOR THE DISTRIBUTOR - flexible working hours, no boss and with the right attitude and commitment, the opportunity to become financially independent through helping other people achieve success.

If you would like any more info on the Kleeneze business, please visit: http://www.kleeneze-information.co.uk .

basically kleeneze are selling their products to you - they ve done THEIR sale
one of the problems is that the products sold although of good quality are an utter rip off- at least 50% more than a supermarket or local store
worth selling those overpriced goods in harrods county
My Mum Got conned witrh this years ago

barge poles and don't touch spring to mind

I agree with flintops. A genuine business for genuine people. The person complaining here about the director having too much money is narrow minded. Every business works the same way. Some people earn more because they are worth more - be it from skills or education or whatever. Is McDonalds or KFC a con because the people who started them earn more money? I don't think so.

Kleeneze operates like a franchise. You make a small investment and you follow the program. That is why people ARE earning good money from the business - because they follow the program and learn as they go.

I think its a brilliant business, and compared to the effort and money I put in to a previous import business it is a doddle. And yes, it does require WORK as it is not a "get rich quick" scheme, but it is simple - degrees & qualifications are not required. Also, Kleeneze is a founder member of the Direct Selling Association and it follows their code of practice.

So if you are interested in working for yourself with the support of the company and the team, then I highly recommend it. You can also visit http://www.kleeneze-people.co.uk for additional info or to request an information pack.

ok so lets get specific and pls don't be offended bu how much do you and the other chap earn and how much time do you put into it and how many distributors have u recruted.

my dad did amway a similar thing and frankly my opinion is the first in get rich from a fertile lets say population but after some years things get saturated and the newer people loose out like dad did no matter how hard he tried !

Hello Mowbray,

The two respondents who ARE Kleeneze distributors have given an accurate picture of how the business works.

I have been a distributor for just a month and earned about 120 profit. This was with 100 catalogues and no experience !

I now have 22 customers who have purchased and I suspect they will purchase again and for a bigger order.

The time it has taken me is about 12 -15 hours (3 or 4 a week), which I consider a good hourly wage rate.

If anyone is considering it or want to know more, use the web and find the Kleeneze site and distributor sites.

Like most things in life those who know little or nothing about a subject - shout loudly to hide it.

I was sceptical, but having worked for myself for 20 years, know that the harder I work the luckier I get.

It probably is not for the majority of people simply because they are lazy or lack confidence. This business does not involve selling ( I have a shop on the High street and Know what selling is ), you put a catalogue through the door and collect it 2 days later.

Best wishes and choose !

I'm not a Kleeneze distributor myself, but I've helped a friend who is. She doesn't seem disillusioned with it in the three months or so she's been doing it, and she's not the sort of person who'd be expending max effort for nil return. So there's been some reward, and apparently she's already earned bonuses from her sales. Her frustration is when what customers want is out of stock and she can't get a lot of sense out of her line manager about when she may expect it. The other thing is - this is my argument, not my friend the distributor's - why can't the company write off the bloody catalogues? Just give the things away - don't make your reps scurry around collecting the (probably) dog-eared things back! If nothing else, it detracts from their selling, collecting all those unlooked-at publications from people who don't want to order anything. Surely the company can sustain that? And if it can't - why not?

Wow - a heated debate indeed. I offer another perspective from an active distributor and team builder, which will be no secret - This is us - http://www.kleenezefranchise.com.

In answer to your question Mowbray - your freind could quite easily earn 1000+ per 4 week period, but I would suspect talk of Helicopter rides at the Directors mansion is a little bit of "embelishment".  Thats not to say though that people within Kleeneze who work hard are not rewarded - Flintops for example went to Sydney earlier this month for an all expenses paid trip thanks to Kleeneze.  Around 200 people from typically 5000 distributors were invited.  These are the people how have worked for it.

People [Andy] who tell you Kleeneze is a "pyramid seilling scam" are wrong.  Pyramid selling is illegal, and Kleeneze are a FTSE listed compnay - you figure that one out.

The products - as you will see [tali122] are not for everyone.  I personally think premier league football is "an utter rip-off", so I don't go.  There are still plenty of people who do though.

The catalogues are not given away [Clare A] as we are all running a bussiness here - including Kleeneze PLC.  If you want free catalogues join Betterware and ask yourself why the distributor cannot be bothered to collect them, and they remain on the doorstep for months?  Making people pay for the catalogues sorts the "wheat from the chaff".

Kleeneze PLC are making huge strides in the home shopping sector both in the UK and now Europe.  Anual turnover now exceeds +300 milllion.  They achieve this via a different route to other companies.  Do your own reseach. Form you own opinion.

Regards.

During the last 20 years weve tried conventional business, Network Marketing, MLM and all sorts of part-time work, but none of it ever lasted or lived up to the promises we were given. We found KLEENEZE October 2002.

We were VERY sceptical but we made 700.00 from the simple retail system in our first 4 weeks, which was much more than our 150.00 investment and only took 12 hours a week to make.

We then began to share the idea with other like-minded people.  Weve introduced 15 people and have a team of about 80.

We now work about 15 to 20 hours per week and our top cheque for a 4-week period has been 3,150.00 and we average over 1,600.00 every 4-weeks.

Were seeing many of the dreams that weve chased for the last 20 years finally come true.  Including trips abroad (Kleeneze sent us on an all expenses paid, 5 star trip to Sun City, South Africa), clearing debts, buying a lovely detached home and providing a real future for our two children.

The KLEENEZE System is NOT a get rich quick scheme, it does take WORK and EFFORT but it is SIMPLE and produces REAL immediate and long-term incomes for those who work at it.

Stu

PS: We dont make money off others, we help them to make moneyWeve got people in my team whove made more than us!

Dear all, I am a undergraduate studying Accounting and Finance at the London School of Economics and Political Science. I joined Kleeneze last year during the summer, and did make pocket money out from it.

Since i started University, i have still kept on with Kleeneze and now successfully earn 1000 every four weeks. Wow, there is nothing "dodgy" about this franchise, you have to be commited and dedicated. In total i do on average at least 4 hours a week which i commit purely on my Kleeneze business. You work for yourself BUT never by yourself.

If any of you guys are reading this and are just intrested on what Kleenze have to offer then please dont hesitate to Phone: 020 8626 9295 for a FREE information pack.

If I can do it then so can YOU!

I'm a Kleeneze distributor too. I've been with other network companies in the past, and know a lot about which ones work and which ones don't. I have earned more with Kleeneze than with any of the others and would say that anyone who follows the system would not be likely to lose money. Unlike other companies, Kleeneze retail is simple. Put out catalogues and you can't fail to get orders. You can make money from the first day. If anyone wants more info, visit www,look-here.co.uk and we'll be in touch, we like the personal approach.
