I wish I hadnt ;(
its only a bloody dog!
I don't even like dogs, I am scared of them, but I was welling up !! My husband wondered what had upset me, I didn't tell him a dog died on TV !!
it's only a doggy actor/actress!
I recorded it. Think I'll wait until morning to watch it.

Same here -I was told its only TV until I reminded him that it could happen one day to us with our 'bairn' Buddy.............(he understood then)
Not if you don't use your "Bairn", Buddy, to threaten the local thug it won't.
I had to switch over as it is just a year since I had my lovely faithful Lab put to sleep. Made me cry and wasn't even watching it and WOODY there was no need for that remark obviously you are not a dog lover.
Yes it was so upsetting. reminded me so much of when I had to take mine to be put to sleep, the close up of the face even lloked like her!
What a load of old tripe. I don't watch the soaps as a rule but caught last nights after reading all the hype about 'oooooo soap death mega drama' I wish I hadn't bothered, what a bluddly let down that was.

Watching them (particularly the non existent dog fight) reminded me exactly why I can't be bothered with soaps.

There's a whole village out there with people supposedly going about their busy lives.
The garage doors = open. Pub door = open. The village shop doors = open and no-one heard a life and death fight going on between a Bull Mastiff and a German Shepherd? Come on I know Lizzy is blind but has everyone else in Emmerdale been suddenly struck deaf?

"He's got a lot of bites and he's lost a lot of blood" WHERE? He had a wee streak of pink food dye on his ruff, that was it and suddenly he's at death's door with nothing to be done but euthanize him. Get real For Funks Sake!
i just watched it and cried, it may only be a soap but it shows peoples emotions
I don't remember such an outpouring of grief when Edna's little dog Batley breathed his last.
Don't remember that margie, can't have been watching then.
Mi,mi,mi, Haggis, I was out to see the LBs of Bangkok last night and watched it when I came in..
whoaaa, I was saying..No, please not poor Clyde..
bout time they won an award for this show!
dont know if it was the dog dying or the the way aaron was with his emotions either was i still cried
gina me too. Aaron made me cry before when he was struggling with being gay. He's become such a good actor.

Bobbi you're right, it should get more recognition, EE seems to get all the attention and it doesn't compare.
Emmerdale can have me crying and laughing my head off in the same episode!
I agree chelle. I've voted for him in the NTV awards as best actor. Talking of which, has anyone voted yet? I tried yesterday and got to about the 22nd category when up popped, "there has been an error, please go back and star again". It was rather annoying and I've not bothered to do it again yet.
just heard from a mate, he is to get an award after all. well deserved too

I was just saying to Harry last night -he's only young (19 or 20) but he is destined for huge things in the future.I saw him interviewed as himself and he is so funny and was doing a Kevin Webster imitation.Such talent (I mean that lol)
Getting back -to the scene -I hadnt read about it so I was completely unprepared and yes it did affect me and thats what drama is about -its meant to replicate real life and sadly that scene did (to all the cynics) where it often doesnt.
Credit to the crew at Emmerdale for the sensitive way they portrayed it.
