Facebook How does it Work

How do the Press find out about people on Facebook? I am not a member, so I don't really know the first thing. If I join, and I just want to nose about, do I have to become 'friends' with people before I can read their profile and all their messages, is this how the Press do it ? And how much info do I have to give about myself ?

yes you do have to become friends with most, but I can see some peoples status' that havent changed settings. I would guess the press message someone on their friends list to get details

Do you mean the Press message with one of the friends of the people they are trying to find out about ? Do people on facebook become friends with people they don't know ?

you choose whom you want as friends & with privacy controls, only friends can view your site.

You can set your own privacy settings to decide who can see what, so you only display what you choose to.
