My fridge has a high pitched whistle that is continuous. Does anyone know why it\'s doing that and what part needs replacing?

Thank you!

Why is my fridge whistling?

Because it doesn't know the words. boom boom

(sorry couldn't resist)
you're both wrong, it hums when it doesn't know the words, it whistles as it's a referee
perhaps it is aspiring to be a kettle.
Mine moos. And I;m being serious
it's the fan. probably needs replacing.
ok seriously it's probably the fan - best google it - or learn to play the mouth organ and play along !
These Fridges are made in Whistler, British Colombia (The Whistling State)

Cabin, eh?

Sniff..... sniff........ double sniff............................use your nose, yogi.....................................you may be lucky!

Homedeeth, It's whistling maybe cos it fancies you?
OK, sensible answer, but it might be well wrong. Maybe you have a small pin hole in the gas pipes. That would make a whistle.
This is only Answerbank, what more could you have asked for????
Because it's happy.

Although, of course, if it were humming - it'd not exactly be depressed or anything, but maybe not quite so happy.

I'll try a serious Answer now homedeeth !
Does altering the Temp Control make any difference. Check the Temperature. Other than that don't really know what to suggest !
