Ensure the earpiece is not plugged in (sorry if that's obvious). You can go to www.creative.com and navigate to the on-line manual and download it.
For your security you will need to right click the file and then left click 'properties'. At the bottom of the 'box' you will be able to 'unblock' the file. close 'properties' and click the file normally and you will find the answer in the manual.
