I was involved in a car accident in March 2000.  The insrance claim was settled in 2002.  I've still got all the paperwork to do with the claim, how long do I need to keep it for? Can I throw it away yet?

Sorry if this seems like a facile answer, but why not give your insurance broker a call tomorrow and ask them?
Depends really - was the accident your fault? If not, and your no claims bonus has been reinstated then throw it away! If it was your fault, and you think that a further claim may be made (for injury or whatever) then it may be worth holding on to things like witness details etc. Hope this helps.
If I were you I would keep it for 5 years. When you come to renew insurance the typical question is ' any accidents in the past 5 years' . So worth keeping the details to hand even if it was not your fault.
