Doesn't quite fit this category but I'm not sure where to put it.

I need to send a postcard to the USA, and I was wondering if two first class stamps would be ok?

Postcard to anywhere outside Europe is 056, so two firsts at 36p each will cover it with a 16p margin.
By using the very popular search engine, google

I typed royal mail into the search and with a few clicks of the mouse found this

Take care. Two stamps with '36p' printed on them will (as 4candles states) provide ample postage.

However, stamps which are marked '1st' or '2nd' (without a specific monetary value stated) are only valid for inland mail. It doesn't matter how many of them you put on overseas mail, they are never valid.

Yes, i do this all the time to Canada
Sorry forgot to say - I use stamps marked "1st"
