I asked this question yesterday but still cant get it to work,
In an email I know how you copy and paste a web address but instead of the full address i wanted to change it to a simple *CLICK HERE* I was told that once the address had been pasted on highlight it and press the space bar and the address will turn blue but it does not so what am i doing wrong
I was following instuctions (No.3) from this site..................

HTML isn't always supported in emails. Some clients don't do it, and often, people turn it off anyway.
This is a HTML requirement.
So, you're better just leaving the URL as-is, and not trying to do this kind of stuff.
Note that the site you link to seems to be using Microsoft Word (?!?), which is neither an email client or a good HTML editor.

When creating something like a Word document (which, of course, could be used as an attachment for an email), you can do what you're trying to do by right-clicking on the link and selecting 'Edit hyperlink'.
However, I've just checked to see whether Outlook Express does the same and it doesn't.
Like Fo3nix, I'd be wary of sending any form of edited hyperlink in an email anyway, because this requires the use of HTML and not everyone has HTML available to them when they receive an email. (That's either because they've got their email client, such as Outlook Express, configured to 'Plain text' or because they use a web-based mail system which only supports plain text).
If you're looking to shorten long URLs, it would be best to use this website to do the job for you:

Thank you all for your answers I can now understand that you cant do this with outlook express, but the site you gave me Chris is just the job, the reason I wanted to do it was an article in our local paper that i wanted to pass on but when i pasted the web address it was almost a quarter page long !!!
