Physics can describe complex situation using maths, this is what the computer does. The ones and 0's form a number system called biary which works in base 2 rather than 10 (conventional numbers). I realy don't think aliens had anything to do with it.
There are 10 kinds of people in this world - ones that understand binary and ones who don't
Well I`m in the 50% that don`t, the other 75% are all clever sods
Nah thats computing not electronics the thing is with chips they are semiconductors. Which means they dont conduct electricity very well but enough to control it so they can have a high voltage and a low voltage e.g 1 and 0. This is how they can have a binary output. Hope that helps.
yeah i do physics a-level, they are made from tiny silicon plates, which are in most cases semi-conductors. binary digits (bits) are on off pulses that allow systems to work with ease, taking loadsa long numbers and transferring them into shorter ones.
im pretty sure nobody knows. but i will say that it was probly invented by a 6 year old by accident. not even the rep at AMD can give me a strait answer!
