enlarged taste buds?

A few days ago I thought I had a piece of museli caught at the back of my throat- this also feels like tonsillitis when you get the white spots on the tonsills. However I can't see anything. It is more noticeable now than it was and I think the bump is getting bigger- I think it is enlarged taste buds at the very back of my tongue.
Has anyone had this before and how can I get rid of it? It is uncomfortable and annoying!

Scarlett, do you have big cracks in your tonsils. I get stuff caught in them round the back and when it scratches them it cause a mighty infection. I also permanently have those big spots on the back of tongue, its called papillae and more than likely nothing to worry about.
