I have a problem with a potterton profile 50e boiler that is installed in my girlfriends house. A couple of months back the boiler started firing up erractically and eventualy wouldnt fire at all. A heating engineer said he thought it was probably the contol unit and fitted a new one. She now has a problem that the boiler keeps firing up outside of the times set on the programmer and even does so when the programmer is turned off and the roomstat turned right down. As well as the boiler firing up at these times it also pumps around as well, so seems to be ignoring the roomstat and programmer. The boiler is in the garage and there is a frost stat fitted. Anybody had any similar problems or any ideas....? Many thanks
