My other half has got a 2001 Grand Vitara 2.0TD which has got factory fitted keyless entry (no alarm). One of the keyfobs recently packed up so went to the dealer to get a price for a new fob and they said no can do. Apparently, the 2000 to 2002 Vitaras came with 2 fobs and you cannot teach new fobs to the installed module. The dealer said the only way to do it was to replace the installed module with a module from a later Vitara (which includes 2 new fobs) which subsequently can accept new fobs if needed at a later time. I didn't even bother asking a price.

I have now bought a Cobra Keyless Entry system from our favourite online auction site and to save me time trying to figure it out on the car wondered if anyone could tell me the lock and unlock wire colours (on the car) and the polarity of switching signal.

Cheers in advance.
