Hey. The taps in my bathroom are going green (eeww) I don't think they are made of brass but they are similar to this http://tinyurl.com/yq8ag Any ideas of how to clean these please?

The problem with all modern brass effect bathroom fittings is that they aren't solid brass and they have a lacquer applied to give them their shiny finish.....unfortunately once this protective layer has been corroded through there is little you can do apart from scrubbing them very often to keep them clean and the very action of cleaning them is removing more of the top layer making the problem worse.

PS normally the worst affected bathroom fitting is the toilet seat mountings due to being sprayed with urine which eats away at the lacquer in double quick time......Lesson - go for the chrome finish every time!
