Hi I wonder if anyone can help me. my hoover has suddenly started to have a very high pitched sound like screaming. I was wondering what is wrong with it. and if anyone could tell me how to repair it. many thanks

Checked the rubber belt? If the brushes are not moving then the belt has probably broken. Else you have hoovered over the cat's tail.

A piece of paper or cellophane stuck in the tube might cause a sound like that

many thanks for your replies. No the belt is ok looked at that. It seems to come from the motor. Have checked hoses as well.

if you've checked belts/motor etc....perhaps you could check you budgie cage

Try tuning it, my radio makes that sound when out of tune!!
