Can anyone recommend the cheapest high street shop to buy blank recordable dvds. I've been disorganised and need one for tonight.

Richer sounds do maxell discs for �1.49 each
I can tell you that you will pay a fortune in high street shops. On the internet you can get them for around 90p each. Kanection.co.uk

Thanks to both of you. It all went a bit pear shaped when I went to the local techie shop as I had no idea there were two different types of DVDs and I had to buy the right one for the drive!!!! I will try on the web now I have a bit more idea about what I want. Another question, is the european dvd the plus or minus one? (does that even mean anything?)
There's no European dvd as such. Both + & - DVD's are used in Europe, it all depends on which type your DVD recorder can use. This site might help:
