Father dies - leaving wife all the money and life-rent of the house which he leaves to his children. In Scotland children can claim their legal rights to a percentage of his monies but in so doing forfeit their share of the house. If two of the children claim their rights and the others don't...who gets the forfeited shares of the house...the siblings or the widow?
