i am using nero ve to burn my dvds, unfortunately they dont seem to play in my dvd player, my flatmate uses nero ve as well but his play fine in my dvd player. i have asked him to have a look at my settings but there all the same the only difference is the dvds discs we use but i bought some good quality sony ones but they still dont play in a dvd player, works fine on computers though !?
Any ideas from anybody ?

If your DVD player is not very new, then it may not like DVD+ or DVD+/-RW DVDs. The normal most compatible standard is DVD-R. I suggest you check your stock of blanks.
Try burning one of your discs in his PC and vice versa
given up with cheap dvds now. Only use verbatim, cos I've found they work fine. Can't play any home made ones in my dvd player though - only in PS2
