Could be a multitude of things with the vision system. You'll have to take it to a repairer.

plug the areil in and tune it in and if you got on channel 4 any wonder?

If it connects with a scart cable, it could be this at fault. The pins control sound and vision, but if the vision ones are damaged or not connecting completely, it will mean no picture. If you have another cable, try it instead.

Or simply try pushing the scart home properly. This happens to me when my dog cuts around the back of the TV - he knocks it slightly and I get picture but no sound.
