how do rechargeable batterys work? thnks plz can u write the answer in the simplest form. thnks

normal batteries are largely distroyed in the proccess of making electricity but in the recharging proccess a current from an outside source is pushed through the cell in a direction opposite to that from which it was origonally drawn. this reverses the the earlier reaction that happened during discharge.
