When a fighter jet is on it's way up high why do the twist spin aaround and around when ther eclimbing and not justy go up in a straight line

When a fighter jet is on its way up into the clouds why do they twist and spin and not go up just straight

If they were climbing to a high altitude to intercept an enemy they would not do this as it would slow them down!

They just do it for fun.

ya it is only when you see it on video that they do this. fighter pilots are show offs
