Car Aerials

Somebody snapped my car aerial off late at night last night - can you just buy general car aerials? does one aerial work for all cars?

Cheapset way: Bend a steel coat hanger into a loop, cut off the hook and shove it in the hole left by the broken ariel. Best reception known to man! don't look much though!

Halfords sell many types. I don't believe there is any great difference in reception for the average radio.

zippy, if it's a regular thing in your area, snapping off that is, try getting an auto-aerial. goes down when stereo's off. that'll stop the no good bu**ers! or at least give them a challenge! not to difficult to fit either.

When I find snapped off car aerials in the road I collect them and make them into coat hangers !

No, one arial does not work for all cars!

How can anyone give you advice on this question if they do not know what car you are talking about?

Toureman - as I know nothing about them, all I was wondering was whether one aerial fitted any car, which you answered, so thank you.
