Shorter screw-in aerials?

Hi all,

Just bought a new, taller, car (Nissan Qashqai) and the combination of taller car plus supplied screw-in aerial means that the aerial "pings" the top of the garage door every time I go in or out

I noticed some neat shorter aerials in Halfords, but then found they were "dummies for styling only"!!

SO, does anyone sell shorter screw-in aerials that DO work and are not just "for show"??

Yes can get shorter Aerials Phil, But can you not bend yours? , They will bend if Metal but take your time doing it.

Hmm - a possibility, but as the aerial (and hence the car) is only a week old, my wife would kill me if I broke part of it :(
