I want to buy a small radio to go on my bedside table. Looking on Amazon there are a few I like but they are Blue Tooth. I don't know what BTooth actually is although I've heard of it. Do I have to have something in my bedroom that it latches on to for radio to work? Hope that makes sense. Cheers everyone.
no idea myself, but...

More simply:
What can a Bluetooth radio do?
This allows users to play music or other audio content from a mobile device on their radio without the need for a cable. Additionally, a Bluetooth radio can also be used to receive “normal” radio stations and to manage the volume as well as other settings on the connected device.
I suspect that most radios come with (not are) Bluetooth these days. They are perfectly capable of receiving standard radio signals (DAB and/or FM) and don't have to be connected to a Bluetooth device. As Maydup says, optionally selecting 'Bluetooth' on the radio would allow it to receive and play audio output from another device, such as a smartphone or a laptop.
If you have a Bluetooth radio in your lounge and you want to listen to the same programme in your kitchen, rather than buy another radio you buy a (much cheaper) Bluetooth speaker and connect it wirelessly to the radio. It's just a feature of the radio, in the same way that your radio might have an AF/FM/DAB tuner but you only want DAB or an earphone socket when you just want to listen via the speaker.
Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology standard that is used for exchanging data between fixed and mobile devices over short distances and building personal area networks. In the most widely used mode, transmission power is limited to 2.5 milliwatts, giving it a very short range of up to 10 metres.Bit of technical eplanation, Personal computers; Smartphones; Gaming consoles; Audio devices; Embedded devices; Key finders
