Can I use an ordinary battery charger that I normally use for Energiser rechargeable AA 2200mAh for lithium-ion batteries? Or do I need a different charger? Thanks in advance.

If I put the wrong sort of battery in my charger it gives an audible warning. Nothing blows up
In a word, No.

The working terminal voltage of a Energiser rechargeable AA 2200mAh is 1.2 volts. Compare this to (presumably AA type) 3.7 volt of a Lithium-ion battery.

The voltage of the charging source needs to be higher than the terminal voltage of the Li-ion battery.
