morning, another end to the working week for some, how time flies, before you know it Christmas will be here, must get the cards out the cupboard, and see how many are left.
i hope you are well and your day is a good one. I had my booster jab yesterday, which was fine except for a sore arm, but i can live with that. Annoyingly most of the electric lights in the flat blew out, and now i am stuck with no lights in many of the rooms. Luckily one or two lights must be on a different circuit and so not completely in the dark.

Good morning Emmie! Oh man so sorry you are dealing with that I have a similar issue my overhead light isn’t working in my bedroom but my lamps still work.

the electrician didn't get here till 7pm even though i called them in the morning, he couldn't find the source of the problem so they will have to come back today. Hopefully they will arrive this morning as i am meeting a mate for coffee later this afternoon.

morning Evan, its a pain to be honest, and having to wait in all day yesterday and possibly today, doesn't help.

not your fault Evan, i just hope they can fix the problem this morning.

the council are mostly useless or just plain overwhelmed as most of their repairs have gone on line, for a so called non emergency like having no heating or hot water, there is a 20 day call out, how they work that out i just don't know. I was without hot water for a week and that was awful, though i could still have a shower as that's electric.

Oh man that must have been really hard. What exactly does a call out mean?

a possible 20 day wait for someone to come out and repair the problem. Why they deem it ok to leave people without hot water/heating for so long beats me.

as it turned out my hot water repair which took a week was because some one in the council presumably, had turned off the valve supplying the hot water/heating, not best pleased to find out that it wasn't a fault, except a human one.
